Class One Compete in Basic Skills Festival at St. Leonards in Bridgnorth

Children from year one went on an exciting sports trip to St. Leonards where they competed at the 

Basic Skills Festival.  They competed in 3 teams of 5 over 5 different activities which

included throwing and catching, hopping, running and balancing.   

The children had great fun at the competition, where they were able to show off their growing confidence 

in movements like skipping and hopping. 

We worked as teams to pass the ball as quickly as we could and get as many points as we could!

In this game we had to bounce the ball and jump before passing it to a new team member.  If we didn't bounce it on the spot we lost our point!! 

  

We waited to see what our final results were - our scores were really close! 

But Team C were the victors with 214 points!!

Well done to everyone - we had a great day and found out what good sportsmen and women we really are!

Good sports skills and good teamwork!!

We can't wait for the next one!!

Our Girls Have Fun at the New Meadow

Sheriffhale junior girls took part in a fun activity day at the New Meadow in Shrewsbury last Thursday.

It was part of an exciting event with 5 a side games alongside  lots of football experts to help build up the girls' confidence and skills in the sport.  They competed against other girls from schools around Shropshire and then went on to watch the England Ladies Team play against the Ukraine at the Meadow.    

Exhausted but having lots of fun - and showing off our budding footie skills!  

Making use of all the space - and beating off the competition!!

The girls showed off their goodies bags in assembly on Friday and told us all about their day. We are very proud of what they achieved and look forward to seeing them play football in the future.

Well done girls. 

Tigger the snow leopard is blinged up and ready for his adventures!

This is our snow leopard adoption certificate!

Class 3 have adopted their very own snow leopard from WWF. They have voted to call the leopard 'Tigger'!

Rainforest Animals

Class 2 will be writing stories later this half term about rainforest animals. As part of their research into different animals, they made some short videos using FMM (Fun Movie Maker).

Class 3 enjoyed a wonderful morning at the Sikh Gurdwara in Hadley.
