National Skipping Day!!

During National Skipping Day the whole school took part in a one minute skipping challenge during

our morning playtime. Bronze Ambassadors and Playleaders helped to organise and record results which were then shared in morning assembly.  Certificates were handed out according to first, second and third in each year group - but in our eyes everyone was a winner!  Keep up the skipping!!

Here are our Gold, Silver and Bronze Winners!!

Visit from PDSA to Class One

On Wednesday PDSA came into Class One to talk about the welfare and care of pets.  Class One have been finding out about Pets recently and they were able to ask and answer lots of questions of the visitors. Here are some pictures of our exciting afternoon.

Hope you enjoy looking at our pictures as much as we enjoyed the afternoon!

Sport Relief

We have had a wonderful day today raising money for Sport Relief 2014. It was lovely to see all the children dressed in their sporting clothes!
Each class has had their usual coaching session with our specialist sports coaches, Coach Wayne and Coach Ashley. The classes also had an extra session each, where the coaches arranged them into country teams and held a mini Olympics.

Chaos in Class 2

Unfortunately, Mrs Preece-Dawson must have left one of Class 2's windows ajar on Thursday night and, it seems, a rare Slimy Stone Dragon managed to squeeze in and leave a trail of destruction.

Fortunately, we found an old instruction text telling us how to trap this particular species of dragon. It was all muddled up but the children quickly managed to sequence it and are now experts.

There is more information about these rare, chess-playing dragons in the corridor outside Class 2. Please come and read the children's descriptions of the dragon so that you can keep an eye out for the one currently on the loose in the Shifnal/Sheriffhales area.

Please keep a look out...

Class 2 were shocked to discover today that the BBC have reported a sighting of the rare Slimy Stone Dragon in nearby Shifnal.
Fortunately, Class 2 are becoming experts on a wide range of dragon species and will be producing information concerning how to identify and catch this harmless species. If you happen to see a Slimy Stone Dragon, please do let Class 2 know.

World Book Day

Our Book Swap event this afternoon was small but beautifully formed! Thank you to our new Y5 librarians who organised the whole afternoon and helped children choose which pre-loved book to take home.

On Friday after school is our "Share a Story" event in Class 2 until 4pm. Children can curl up with a book or listen to a story, while enjoying hot chocolate, marshmallows and cookies.
